New York, NY (Billboard Publicity Wire) November 2, 2006 -- Playboy Enterprises, Inc. today announced the release of a house music compilation entitled "Playboy: Housexy." The new CD was produced by Playboy's new licensee, Ministry of Sound, the highly respected music label, best-known for their salacious house and steamy, funk-laced beats. The double CD consists of 28 tracks, all of which will inspire listeners to get on the floor and dance.
"Playboy has been a major player in the music scene for several years now," said Sarah Haney, Vice President of Licensing for Playboy Enterprises, Inc. "Playboy consumers always know what's 'in' and right now, Ministry of Sounds' 'Housexy' album series is definitely a hit. We are thrilled to be able to partner with such a prestigious company that is recognizable worldwide for its innovative music."
"Playboy: Housexy" will be the fifth release in the acclaimed "Housexy" series, and will continue in the tradition of the past disks. The range of tracks delivers the house basics, mixed with funk and vocal lead samplers. "Playboy: Housexy" is available for $25.00 at Virgin Megastore locations across the United States.
"'Housexy' is about the ultimate party -- from beginning to end -- so it was logical to partner with a global brand known for its carefree lifestyle," said Matt Stuart, Label Manager for Ministry of Sound. "Since its launch in Summer 2005, the 'Housexy' album series continually has exceeded our expectations, and we are confident that 'Playboy: Housexy' will be our top album to date."
