'She's An Army of One' a Positive, Uplifting Tribute to the American Service Woman

The much anticipated release of "She's An Army of One" is finally out to the world. As the song is a tribute to the women of the military, the producers have chosen not to expound on the names of the performers at this point in order to allow the women of the military to be in the spotlight. TRA-STAR and BMJ-Nashville have agreed to contribute a portion of the sales revenues to the Womens Army Museum at Ft Lee, VA.
I saw all those soldiers and was moved by the fact that many of those girls looked to be younger than my daughter

Nashville, TN (Billboard Publicity Wire) April 24, 2007 -- TRA-STAR Entertainment, Inc., in Association with BMJ-Nashville, has announced the release of a new project that pays tribute to the dedicated women who have in the past and presently serve in the United States Armed Forces.

The project is centered on a new song written by Nashville songwriter and producer, Mark Carman, titled "She's An Army of One." Carman wrote the song in the Atlanta airport while waiting for a connecting flight. While waiting, Carman observed a number of uniformed military personnel, apparently traveling also, and became intrigued by the number of female soldiers in the group.

"I saw all those soldiers and was moved by the fact that many of those girls looked to be younger than my daughter," said Carman. He went on to say, "Then I saw this woman, (Col Mary Gomez, USAR) roughly my age, also dressed in her uniform. I then realized that we're not only sending our daughters to war, we're also sending moms."

Carman says he wrote the song as a tribute to the women who serve in America's armed forces, and to the loved ones of the soldiers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of freedom.

"She's An Army of One" also features an interactive website that invites the consumer in to the project from demo to final production. Visitors to the site are able to view behind the scenes photos, read copies of the hand written lyrics, review the chord charts and producer's notes, listen to the original demo and much more. The site is also developed in such a way as to educate the visitor about the important role played by women who serve in the military.

"She's An Army of One" features performances by singers and musicians who's combined works have been featured on more than 100 Grammy Awards and more than 300 platinum albums. The producers have chosen not to expound on the names of the performers at this point in order to allow the women of the military to be in the spotlight for this production. However, according to TRA-STAR President, Frank Scherman, their collective recording credits include performances with such artists as; Cher, Bryan Adams, Toto, George Straight, Alice Cooper, Billy Preston, Reba, Barbara Streisand, Alabama, Alan Jackson, and countless others. Their motion picture soundtrack credits include hit films such as; Grease, Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, A Few Good Men, 8 Seconds and on and on and on.

In addition to the conventional release, "She's An Army of One" is being released world wide by means of electronic distribution through WEBlastonline.com. Electronic distribution, known as E-Release, uses cutting edge technology to electronically distribute music and related products directly to consumers and media sources.

"This type of distribution will allow us to make the song available to soldiers who may not be in a spot where they can go out to the mall and buy a CD," said Carman. "It also allows us to deliver the same quality product at a more competitive price. By eliminating some of the manufacturing costs, we can pass that savings allong to the consumer."

TRA-STAR Entertainment and partner company BMJ-Nashville have agreed to contribute a portion of all the monies received from the sales of "She's An Army of One" to the Women's Army Museum at Fort Lee, VA.
