'Go Away Paris Hilton' by Citizens for a Better America Available at iTunes The Accompanying Petition can be Signed at www.goawayparis.com

Rock band records song and collects signatures to make Paris Hilton "go away."

Los Angeles CA (Billboard Publicity Wire) May 2, 2007 -- "Go Away Paris Hilton," the song everyone in America is talking about (save one ... or maybe two if you include her sister), is now available for download at iTunes. Written by Mr. Smith and recorded by Citizens for a Better America, the song is the centerpiece of a campaign to collect over 100,000 signatures for the "Go Away Paris Hilton" initiative.

To date over 18,000 signatures have been collected at the website, http://www.goawayparis.com/, where anyone proving they are human, can sign the petition, buy a men's or women's t-shirt, camisole or sports-t to support the initiative, and view the "Go Away Paris Hilton" music video.

When first previewed as a demo last fall (the band was then called The OK Go Away Paris Hilton Apparatus), the song attracted over 20,000 hits overnight on the web's #2 music community PureVolume.com. That week it topped PureVolume's chart over songs by established favorites, The Killers, Panic! at the Disco and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.

Since then Mr. Smith has partnered with Plan R Soundtracks/EMI to spread the word and has re-recorded the opus with his band, renamed Citizens for a Better America.

Once the PAC (Paris Action Committee) has attained the target number of signatures, the initiative will NOT be included on any upcoming ballot but will be delivered to the editors at US Weekly, People Magazine, The Star, The Globe, The Enquirer and anyone else who pays for photos of the ... uh ... star.
