The LACS Release Lacademics Album

Side Ya Mouth Records is pleased to announce their new release by recording artist the Lacs, a CD for alternative and southern hip hop fans, titled Lacademics Back 2 School The Album. The Lacs produced it as the second album of the South on Fire Trilogy. The Lacs said, "We wanted the second album to have fun, be modern and have an alternative edge. The songs are refreshing but not redundant." The title of the CD comes from the idea that the Lacs are educating the hip hop world about their style of music.

Baxley, Georgia (Billboard Publicity Wire) July 15, 2007 -- Side Ya Mouth Records is pleased to announce their new release by recording artist the Lacs, a CD for alternative and southern hip hop fans, titled Lacademics Back 2 School The Album.

The CD includes active songs and quiet songs from a different blend of genres that reflect a variety of moods for a wide range of listeners. The album features guest appearances by the artists Pastor Troy, MR. MUDD, Da Great Yola, Raheem Da Dream and Big Shanty. Their primary goal is the reemergence of southern hip hop. Songs like "Jook", "Love Song", and "Way N Da Back" exemplify their approach.

About the Lacs:
The release of their debut album Midas Well Get Drunk the Lacs, which consists of artists Clay Sharpe (Uncle Snap), Brandon Herndon (Yocal), and Brian King (Captain Kang), have claimed a place in the independent music world. Their music, which draws heavy on the dirty south movement with the southern rock and country traditions of the south, has supplied them with a sound that has little or no comparison to other artists in hip hop / rap today.
