Australian Sensation The Panics Net 4 Nominations in the 2008 ARIA Awards and Gain Momentum in the U.S.

Stunning U.S. debut "Cruel Guards" in stores now

Los Angeles, CA (Billboard Publicity Wire) October 10, 2008 -- Australian rock band The Panics have netted 4 ARIA award nominations for their critically acclaimed album Cruel Guards including Best Adult Contemporary Album, Best Breakthrough Artist - Single, as well as two artisan awards for Best Engineer - Scott Horscroft and Best Producer - Scott Horscroft. The Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards (ARIAs) are Australia's version of the Grammys. Past winners to explode on the U.S. music scene include Kylie Minogue, Jet, Ben Lee, Silverchair and Natalie Imbruglia.

The Panics popularity is quickly garnering them worldwide attention. The nominations come on the heels of the international release of Cruel Guards which hits stores in The US, The UK, Canada and South Africa this week.
