New York, NY (Billboard Publicity Wire) June 17, 2008 -- Super Producer Nile Rodgers (David Bowie, Chic, Madonna, and Duran-Duran) has partnered with alternative rock artist MYSELF on his groundbreaking debut album 'Protest In Disguise' (bonus tracks). MYSELF's album will be distributed via Nile Rodgers Company Sumthing Distribution on MYSELF's boutique label Couture Music Wear. 'Protest In Disguise' is scheduled to be released on June 17, 2008 in the U.S. and will be released internationally later in the summer.

Nile Rodgers met the artist MYSELF after attending one of his stellar live performances at the historic venue BB KINGS in New York City. Being a musical visionary and hailing from New Orleans, MYSELF defies genres while redefining originality on his debut album 'Protest In Disguise'. His sonic combination of styles encompasses punk, rock, hip-hop, soul and funk.

MYSELF states, "Ever since I could remember, I wanted to rock the world some of my major influences has been iconic artist such as The Clash, Bad Brains, Jimi Hendrix and of course my new business partner and industry veteran Nile Rodgers."

The artist MYSELF breaks down stereotypes, boundaries and labels by communicating in a musical language spoken from the muddy Mississippi river to the historical temples of Japan. 'Protest In Disguise' was recorded at the legendary Chung King Studios (formerly House of Metal), which has been the home for many Def Jam classic recordings (RUN DMC, Beastie Boys and LL Cool J). The new media/marketing brand Giant Step, who has worked with Gnarls Barkely, Amy Winehouse and Erykah Badu, will be handling all the online, new media press and promotions for the 'Protest In Disguise' album project. The first two singles and videos off the album ('God is so Funky and Baby' and 'You Drive Me Crazy') has been serviced to radio and video outlets worldwide.
