Elliott Cohn's Cosmic Sweat Society to bring funk and rock to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Sierra Vista
Austin, TX (Billboard Publicity Wire) January 19, 2009 -- New Orleans-based band Elliott Cohn's Cosmic Sweat Society will be bringing their acclaimed brand of rock and funk to Arizona on Superbowl Sunday at Buffalo Wild Wings to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Sierra Vista. Elliott Cohn will donate $10 from every CD sold to the Boys and Girls club of Sierra Vista, and Buffalo Wild Wings has pledged to donate fifteen percent of their sales to the club as well. You must bring in a flier that can be downloaded and printed from www.svkidsplace.com and present it to your server for the Boys and Girls Club to receive credit.
While in Arizona, the band will stop by to show appreciation for the U.S. military with a meet and greet at Ft. Huachuca on Friday for Right Arm Night. Tour dates have been confirmed in Tombstone at the Crystal Palace Saloon and a special Thursday night dance party at Dillon's in Sierra Vista.
Elliott Cohn's Cosmic Sweat Society is a collaboration between Cohn and top-tier New Orleans musicians. Rooted in funk, rock, blues and jazz, this band has caught the attention of fans and fellow musicians alike. Cohn has shared the stage and/or recorded with members of the Neville Brothers, Jefferson Airplane, Galactic, MoFro, George Clinton and the P-Funk Allstars, The Lee Boys, Papa Mali, G Love and Special Sauce, Pappa Grows Funk, Col. Bruce, Hot 8 Brass Band, The Soul Rebels Brass Band, Vince Wellnick and many others.
